If you have a CATV, Cable Modem, or Satellite configuration, or more specifically, if you’re going to have one, then this product spotlight is for you.
About 3 months ago there was a tutorial posted here on how to install an F connector to an RG59/RG6 cable. I will post the video for convenience:
The main focus of the video was attaching a small, nickel-plated piece to the end of a cable to make use of it. The reason why this minuscule part is so important is because it is ubiquitous with TV setups and most high speed modems. With such widespread use an F connector should provide a certain standard of quality, which is what will be highlighted.
Our RG6 Male Quad Shield Compression F Connector is durable, offers a tight fitting seal, and is easy to install. Since a cable is likely to be plugged and unplugged numerous times during its life span of usefulness, it is then the burden of the connector to get the most out of that cycle. With a nickel-plated connector, factors such as corrosion and wear become insignificant. This is beneficial as, over time, corrosion will corrupt signal transmission and wear will generally deteriorate a product. Another standard of quality is how well the pieces match. This connector slides over the top of a cable until it is flushed with the solid core. From just this, one can say that the pieces match up pretty well, but there could potentially be air gaps between the surfaces of the two objects, which is where the molded-in gasket comes into place. This aspect of the F connector will ensure an air tight seal for hassle-free functionality. On the topic of ease of operation is the last highlighted feature of this product, simple installation. As evidenced by the video, once the desired cable length is acquired for a desired configuration, installation is a breeze and with the other features coming into play operation will be fluid.

Thanks for doing an extra effort in providing a video for this tutorial. It is so simple and easy to perform. It was really appreciated.
