Long Arms for Short Throws

Projecting on to a screen is a great way to get a quality picture that is viewable at a distance; however, there are times when you’d want that same movie-like display in a cozy room. In order to do that, you will need a short throw projector. The throw of a projector measures how far one of them is away from a screen. In a small room, this distance will be short and therefore will (to restate) require a short throw projector. The orientation/placement of these and all display devices, for that matter, is important to viewer experience. This is why it is so common to see projectors and TVs mounted from a wall or ceiling. If you have a short throw projector, consider taking a look at some of our new projector arms from CrimsonAV.

JS1

JS1 are short throw projector arms with two adjustable models: the JS1-16S and the JS1-30S, which can extend to a maximum of 16” or 30”, respectively, from the wall. They are ideal for short throw projector mounts weighing up to 50 lb. A hook-in-place arm attachment, with +/-5º height/pitch adjustment at the wall plate, offers a quick, secure, and adjustable installation. Features internal cord management, for easy wiring and a clean look, and is compatible with all short throw projector mounts with a 1.5 NPT threaded interface.

JS2

JS2 mounts are dual stud short throw projector arms. There are three adjustable models that fall under this category with maximum extensions of 16/30/55″ from the wall. JS2 projector arms are able to support projectors weighing up to 50 lb. Features a hook-in-place arm attachment with +/-5º height/pitch adjustment at the wall plate, internal cord management for easy wiring and a clean look, and is compatible with all projector mounts with 1.5 NPT threaded interface.

These two types of projector arms will give you the option for the best picture. When distance isn’t a factor, neither should mounting.
