Five Years of Firefold!

A company that humbly began in the founders’ garage, FireFold now operates out of a 20,000 square foot building, and employs around 40 people. Christopher and Holly Grouse, a husband and wife team, started the business from nothing and are still running it today. Originally known as Computer Network Technologies, the company became FireFold in January 2005 following an on-line competition among customers and employees. Thereafter, the Firefold brand steadily gained recognition throughout the online and IT community.
With exponential growth in the last 5 years, FireFold has an exciting history highlighted by appearances on INC 500’s list of the nation’s fastest growing companies. In 2008 and 2009, the company was ranked 73rd and 106th out of the top 500 privately owned companies, respectively. In the last two years, FireFold achieved Circle of Excellence according to BizRate.com. They have been given an “Elite” rating by ResellerRatings.com in recognition of excellence in customer satisfaction. In the Charlotte Business Journal, FireFold ranked #13 of top technology consulting firms in 2009. Recently, FireFold was also nominated for small business of the year.
Through the ups and downs of the economy, FireFold has stayed the course by holding on to its core philosophy of providing outstanding customer service and competitive pricing. With hopes of continued rapid growth, FireFold has now set their sights on bringing in new, cutting-edge technologies. The company strongly believes that offering innovative products and peripherals is mandatory in order to stay on top in a highly competitive industry.
As well as adding new products to the website, FireFold plans to move and expand their warehouse and offices to a new location in 2010. As the public becomes more savvy and pennywise about their purchases, FireFold hopes to continue to fill a niche for low-cost cables and products, while providing top-notch care and support to each one of its customers.
